British Mica offers a comprehensive fabrication service for all aspects of plastic and laminate fabrication, utilizing welding, gluing, and forming techniques. The company stocks raw materials to avoid shortages and can arrange the procurement and stock control of “bought-in” components. For ongoing production runs, manufacturing can be tailored to suit clients’ call-off patterns.

MACHINING

British Mica offers a full machining service for the production of components, available as one-offs, in quantities, or as repeat batches. The factory is equipped with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine tools to ensure that fine tolerances and repeatability are achieved. Simple drilled items to complex assemblies.

NABE PANEL

Using our inhouse developed new construction material Brimco 300 we have develop a build system capable of delviery Passive Standard housing at a fraction of the cost.  The panel can use to build summer houses, home offices, family homes and apartment blocks.  The build system is made from on 4 materials all produced in house and tested to out perform current and future building regs

developing material innovation.

British Mica maintains a wide range of engineering plastics and laminates in stock, available in a variety of shapes and sizes. We can also work with customers to develop materials for specific environments and test them.

Materials used by British Mica are primarily of British and European origin and can be traced back to source for certification purposes. The company ensures compliance with a range of international standards, including:

125 years of history

Starting in the London Docks, British Mica moved to Bedford in 1967 and is proud to be leading the manufacturing midlands HUB.  We have built storm troopers to simulators for F1.  There is not a project we can not tackle.  Please visit our factory or give us a call.
